(2022) Simplicity and minimalism - not my usual go to's but you cannot deny the beauty. The tubular frame and the space that this seat suggests, whispering "spread out, relax, tell me of you secret marriage affair". That's the story I see of this chair anyway.. 

Kwok Hoi Chan was a Chinese architect and interior designer, from studying at the  University of Architecture, Hong Kong he emigrated to England and France. In France, he paired up with the Parisian manufacturer Steiner. Though Chan was deeply invested in European and international design, he has always stayed loyal to his Chinese origins. His furniture resembles an imaginary alphabet borrowed from Chinese calligraphy. His trademark is a suspended tubular frame which is combined with an organic shaped seating.


Framing

Framed within a white shadow box frame with a floated mount and 2 or 3.5 inch reveal. With museum grade UV fitering plexiglass.

This is my favorite way to frame, the white wood is simple and clean and the shadow box/floated mount makes the paper appear floating, not touching the back board nor glass.

All framing is by the great team at Tribeca Print Works in NYC.
