(2022) Get comfortable. It's the wear of this chair that got me going - how many a good book has been read in this chair? It looks like it would almost suck you in.

This leather sofa model MP 81 were designed by Percival Lafer in Brazil in 1972. and manufactured by his own company Lafer furniture.Percival Lafer studied architecture at São Paulo’s Universidade Mackenzie. After he graduated, his father passed away suddenly, leaving a furniture business that Lafer took over with his brothers. When it comes to mid-century furniture, the innovative work of the Brazilian Modernists has often been overlooked, including the designs of prolific maker Percival Lafer.

 

Framing

Framed within a white shadow box frame with a floated mount and 2 or 3.5 inch reveal. With museum grade UV fitering plexiglass.

This is my favorite way to frame, the white wood is simple and clean and the shadow box/floated mount makes the paper appear floating, not touching the back board nor glass.

All framing is by the great team at Tribeca Print Works in NYC.
