Camaleonda, 1970

This sofa is beautiful, albeit currently very trendy at the moment but you know what kills me, is when I see people buying it in white, a white couch and me is not a match. This is pale green leather though (I know, it looks beige, I insist it's not) - we can do that. The Camaleonda modular sofa was designed by Italian architect Mario Bellini in 1971, and first manufactured first by C&B and later B&B Italia. It epitomises low slung seventies comfort. The design became famous almost immediately after it was featured in the exhibition ‘Italy and The New Domestic Landscape’ held in the MOMA Museum in 1972.
