I may not be a chef, but apart from my growing work/drawing kit, there are a couple of things I always travel with - A kitchen knife, a knife sharpener, and a chopping board. About to get bowls too as I can never rely on the size you’re going to get. Yet to be questioned by customs (about my bags, not my visas), maybe they understand the importance!!
