(2019) “I bought an RV and drove around Baja California, Mexico, and the US for 4 months. Picking up artifacts along the way. I liked to call it a “work trip” which would really make office workers laugh. It was long days driving without AC and stops at gas stations in the middle of the desert, yard sales with foreboding pit bulls chained up, and pawn shops with wedding rings sold. This bust was found at such a yard sale in Oregon, and the dizzy wall-hanging rug, from somewhere/nowhere in Arizona, with our sweat marks surely still absorbed in it. This piece made my fingers raw and my eyesight twisted.”
